Best Weapon of Each Class in Splatoon 3 2026 — Top Pick for Every Weapon Type

Splatoon 3 weapon class overview

Tier lists show you the meta, but they don't answer the question you actually have when you're standing at the weapon select screen: "I like chargers, so which charger should I use?" This page is that answer. One best weapon per class, with the why behind each pick.

These picks are based on the 2026 Splatoon 3 meta after all the balance patches, and how each weapon performs across Turf War, Anarchy Battles, and Salmon Run.

Best Shooter: Splattershot

Splatoon 3 Splattershot

The Splattershot is the best Shooter, and honestly the best weapon in the game. 3-shot kill up close, fast fire rate, ink that lasts. The Tentatek Splattershot kit (Splat Bomb + Triple Inkstrike) is the competitive standard because it has no real weakness — it paints, it fights, and it has a special that swings games. If you don't have a reason to pick something else, pick this.

Best Charger: E-liter 4K

Splatoon 3 Splat Charger

The E-liter 4K is the best Charger because it has the longest range in the game. A fully charged shot one-shots any player from a distance where most weapons can't even reach you. It charges slower than the standard Splat Charger, but on maps with long sightlines (Hammerhead Bridge, Museum d'Alfonsino) that range wins games by itself. The Splat Charger is the safer pick if you're new to backline play, but the E-liter is the ceiling.

Best Roller: Splat Roller

Splatoon 3 Splat Roller

The Splat Roller is the best Roller because it sits in the sweet spot between the Carbon (too weak, 100 damage) and the Dynamo (too slow). A vertical flick one-shots at close range, the horizontal flick covers a wide arc, and rolling over someone is an instant splat. It's an ambush weapon that rewards map knowledge — and it's the most forgiving of the three Rollers to learn on.

Best Slosher: Sloshing Machine

The Sloshing Machine is the best Slosher because its projectile arcs over walls and ledges — 76 damage direct, 38 splash, and you can pressure the Tower Control tower from angles no other weapon can reach. The fizzy bomb sub also lets it repaint quickly after a bad fight. The Tri-Slosher is easier, but the Machine has the higher ceiling and it's the Slosher you see in top-level play.

Best Splatling: Heavy Splatling

Splatoon 3 Heavy Splatling

The Heavy Splatling is the best Splatling. The Hydra Splatling has more range and fire duration, but its slow charge (about 90 frames) makes it a sitting duck against anyone who knows how to throw a bomb. The Heavy charges in about 60 frames and fires for about 3 seconds — enough to lock down a Splat Zones area without committing so hard you can't reposition. It's the turret that actually lets you move.

Best Dualies: Splat Dualies

Splatoon 3 Splat Dualies

The Splat Dualies are the best Dualies for most players. Two dodge rolls in any direction, and after a roll your reticles converge for near-perfect accuracy for about half a second. The Dark Tetra Dualies get four rolls, but the extra mobility isn't worth the ink cost for most people. The Splat Dualies are the cleanest version of the Dualie playstyle: roll, shoot, repeat, and manage your ink.

Best Brella: Splat Brella

Splatoon 3 Splat Brella

The Splat Brella is the best Brella. Its shield has 200 HP and blocks all incoming ink, including specials, and you can launch it forward to push into space. The Tenta Brella's shield is bigger but way slower, and the Undercover Brella's 100 HP shield breaks too fast to matter. The Splat Brella is the one that actually controls space the way a Brella is supposed to.

Best Blaster: Luna Blaster

Splatoon 3 Luna Blaster

The Luna Blaster is the best Blaster for map control. About 125 damage direct with a huge blast radius that splashes around corners. On tight maps (Walleye Warehouse, Flounder Heights corridors) it hits enemies who think they're safe behind cover. The Range Blaster trades damage for distance, but on the maps where Blasters shine, the Luna's radius matters more.

Best Brush: Inkbrush

Splatoon 3 Inkbrush

The Inkbrush is the best Brush for what a Brush is actually for: speed and turf. It has the fastest rolling speed in the game and can ink your entire base in about ten seconds. The Octobrush deals more damage but is slower, and if you wanted damage you wouldn't be playing a Brush. The Inkbrush commits to the role and does it better than anything else.

Best Stringer: Tri-Stringer

Splatoon 3 Tri-Stringer

The Tri-Stringer is the best Stringer. Three arrows in a spread arc, 40 damage direct plus 30 damage explosive charges. The real value is zoning — the threat of a charged shot makes enemies hesitate and reposition, which your team capitalizes on. The REEF-LUX fires faster with a tighter spread but does less per shot. The Tri-Stringer is the Stringer that controls space the way the class is designed to.

Best Splatana: Splatana Wiper

Splatoon 3 Splatana Wiper

The Splatana Wiper is the best Splatana and a top-tier competitive pick overall. The charged slash deals 150 damage — nearly a one-shot — and the uncharged slashes come out fast while covering turf. It's the mobility that makes it: charge, shark in with the dash-slash, delete someone, dip out. The Splatana Stamper hits harder but is slower, and speed is the whole point of the Splatana playstyle.

How to Use This List

Pick your favorite class from the table, try its best weapon for a few matches, and see if it clicks. If it does, you've found your main. If it doesn't, the second-best in that class usually plays very differently — the E-liter and the Splat Charger are both Chargers but feel completely different.

New to the game and not sure where to start? Skip the classes entirely and start with the Splattershot. It's the most forgiving weapon in the game, and everything you learn on it transfers to every other class.
